While trying to save her brother from a witch’s fire four years ago, Greta was thrown in herself, falling through a portal to Mylena, a dangerous world where humans are the enemy and every ogre, ghoul, and goblin has a dark side that comes out with the eclipse.
To survive, Greta has hidden her humanity and taken the job of bounty hunter—and she’s good at what she does. So good, she’s caught the attention of Mylena’s young goblin king, the darkly enticing Isaac, who invades her dreams and undermines her will to escape.
But Greta’s not the only one looking to get out of Mylena. An ancient evil knows she’s the key to opening the portal, and with the next eclipse mere days away, every bloodthirsty creature in the realm is after her—including Isaac. If Greta fails, she and the lost boys of Mylena will die. If she succeeds, no world will be safe from what follows her back…
Quote: „Don’t you understand anything?” He shook her. „It never mattered what you are, or what I should have done. Not since the very beginning. I fought my own uncle to keep you safe. I’ve fought my own people. I have no intention of letting the demon have you now. You’re mine.”
Review: I received an ecopy of the novel in exchange for an honest review! First of all I have to say I absolutely adored the world development. Mylena is described in an awesome way and sounds enchanting. I got hooked from the very first page and the action kept me on the edge every single moment. The characters are incredibly well described and they simply draw you in. You start imagining everything that happens in the novel as if you are actually witnessing the events yourself.
Greta is a great heroine!!! She is brave, with a very strong will, loyal, compassionate and very determined. However, she is very much human and that showed throughout the novel. She knew when to stay and fight, but also knew when to ran. She was always very credible. I loved the chemistry between her and Isaac ( however, I wasn’t very thrilled by the almost love triangle. It simply did not work for me ); there were moments in the novel when you simply felt like melting from the sheer awesomeness of the chemistry between them two.
Issac is just amazing! I don’t want to say more about him, because you definitely need to get to know him while you read the boook.
Rating: 5/5 ( awesome novel and great characters. Loved it! )
